PERFORMANCE PITS

Performance Pits is a small located in N. Ga. We have been dealing with the breed for about 8 years now, and competing with them consistently the last 3 years in the weight-pull. We pull in the ADBA, NKC, and occasionally in the APA. Our goal is to get the word out that the AMERICAN PITBULL TERRIER is not a bad breed just misunderstood. I hope i dont offend anyone but the people that are ignorant to the breed and by that i mean the people that just go off of what they see on T.V. and the newspapers, and the people that dont deserve them or know what to do with the breed are the ones making it hard to prove otherwise. These dogs were not bred for guard dogs (that is what Rottweilers, and Mastiffs, and Doberman's are) and if that is what you want than you dont want nothing from here. We breed the all around pitbull, loving family companions and working dogs next. My wife and i have four children with our youngest being 4 months old, and our oldest two being 9 yrs. old that have been around this breed everyday of their lives, and never once seen one of our dogs try to bite them, because that is not what the pitbull is about.

My mother use to hate the breed and was against me getting any until she seen how they are with kids, and when we go to shows she comes over and feeds them, if i can get her to change her mind about the breed and say that the breed is being done wrong than i know we have a chance to change other peoples views but it takes responsible dog owners.                                                                                                                                                                We try to produce some of the best working dogs for hunting, weight-pulling and whatever you want the dog to do, we do not breed for a certain color, just for ability. This breed is one of the only breeds that tries its hardest to please the owner and do what you want them to do, they are just like kids they need a little guidance and alot of love and attention.We stay as close as possible to the breed standard.  Hope you will check our dogs out and just look. Enter at your own risk and hope you enjoy the pictures as much as we do the breed.Thanks and MAY GOD BLESS YOU the way he has my family.
